Foundational Supplementary School
This is an after school facility for children aged 5-16 to learn Qur’anic recitation with Tajwid and translation, Arabic Language and other Islamic subjects. This supplementary school operates 5 hours a week Monday to Thursday (4 days p/w) in line with the academic year.

Times:
Session 1: 4.30pm – 5.45pm
Session 2: 6.00pm – 7.15pm
42 weeks in the academic year
As an alternative to the weekday school, students can attend the Saturday school

Primary Years: years 1- 6 (ages 5-11)
An enriched, embedded syllabus incorporating interactive lessons, technology and fun learning
Year 1-2 (ages 5-6)
- Strong emphasis on reading the Qur’an with correct pronunciation.
- Basic Islamic Concepts and terminology: instilling simple sense of Muslim identity by exploring key concepts
- Memorising the prayer (Salah) and other essential Duas
A more visual approach adopted with text but at a minimum level. This makes the lessons more interactive and engaging for students

Year 3-6 (ages 7-11)
Students’ progress to reading the Qur’an with Tajwid
Islamic Studies through an extensive syllabus with interactive coloured textbooks, workbooks covering a range of topics:
Aqidah,
Fiqh,
Sira,
History,

Personal Development
Years 7-9 (ages 11-13)
Completion of full Qur’an recitation applying all Tajwid rules.
Introduction of Isyllabus for Schools Islamic Studies. This covers:
Detailed Sira Studies, History, Importance of Qur’an, Hadith Development, Selection of Tafsir, Early Islamic History, Articles of Faith, Pillars of Islam, Contemporary Issues
Regular assessments as well as end of year exam.
Lessons delivered through presentations on smart screens.
